About The Book

The CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet Complete Recipe Collection brings together the best recipes from our first four books, with TWD favourites as well as wonderfully easy recipes that take precious little time to prepare. All these recipes are based on the same principles of the TWD, which has been so successful for many thousands of Australians who have wanted to eat better and watch their waistlines. Every year, more and more international research confirms that a diet higher in protein has many benefits - from helping to control hunger to reducing the amount of muscle and bone loss that can occur when dieting, as well as providing a rich concentration of nutrient when kilojoules are being counted. A very large international study has shown that a higher protein diet that is combined with low glycaemic index (GI) carbohydrates is best for maintenance of weight loss.

Very Good Diet Book

The 400 CSIRO TWD recipe book arrived ok. The Womens Healrh and Nutrition guide arrived with crease marks, as though the book had been squashed or concertinas. Also had a sticky label partly removed at the bottom of front cover

Virtually no vegetation or vegan recipes, or GF alternatives, or instructions on how to swap out meat for plant based options. Very disappointing 😞.

Beautiful cookbook. I'm concerned to see that the way legumes are classified is different from the online version of the diet I usually use. Should I really be counting them as starch? Or protein and vegetbles? Some of the portion sizes also seem different to those I get using the online food search. Would be great to have 40g of rolled oats count as one bread in the morning (cookbook) but according to food search it would only be 25g?

Book is very big and difficult to read due to the size. I would prefer recipe books with pictures for every recipe. I would have also liked more info on the CSIRO diet and meal plans like the first book

Great to have a book full of recipes but super frustrating that every one I’ve tried to put into the meal planner wasn’t in there. That means easy shopping list and tracking is out so I’ve gone back to the recipes listed online.
